Daniel and Aubrey's Wedding Day

August 27, 2016

It was a beautiful summer day, and it always thrills me to see my children and grandchildren in the Temple.

The sealing room was filled to overflowing with family and friends.  When I finally noticed the sealer, I realized that it was my good friend Paul Norton.  Dan and I used to double date with him and his wife, Sharon, who was also my friend.  It's strange to see someone you knew as a young man, and there he is - small and frail and white haired, but so full of the spirit.  He is such a good man.  He said some beautiful words, probably that no one will remember, but they will remember the feeling that was there.

When he said the words "man and wife,"  Aubrey almost laughed, but then the tears came and her lip quivered a bit.  They are a beautiful couple.

The luncheon was so nice.  Jen prepared and had others prepare 3 different kinds of casseroles.  We also had my easy fruit salad, rolls and a relish tray and cakes for dessert.  They fed 100 plus!  The luncheon and reception were at their little church pavilion up Cub River, which really is the perfect setting.  They had a reception on Thursday night in Pocatello.  No matter how you look at it, the receptions and the luncheon are nice, but the best and most important part is the Temple itself.

I'll get pictures on as soon as I can corner Clair to help me!
