Jeff and Josie, thank you for posting the pictures of little Isla Grace. Jessica texted me a couple of pictures last week. I even knew how to see them! (with Clair's help of course.)
I didn't blog or e-mail this past weekend. We had Randy and family Thurs. night and Friday night, Amanda, Friday, Sat. and Sunday night, Tom and family Sat. night (we went to the zoo on Sat.) and Amanda and Laura and I went to the Women's Conf. Sat. night. We were in the standby line and got to go in and sit close to the front. We got to wave to Pres. Monson, Pres. Uctdorf and Pres. Eyring, as well as Elder Holland and Elder Christopherson and Bishop Stephens. We went to Music and the Spoken Word on Sunday and they came to church with us, and then Nancy, Ben and Vanessa arrived around 5:00 that evening, along with Grandma Cox and her son David. So we had 15 or 16 for dinner in our apartment. Nancy, Ben and Vanessa came to see where we work today and went to a session in the Salt Lake Temple. They put Vanessa in the MTC tomorrow. Clair has been sick for the last couple of days and has just stayed home and slept. He's snoring up a storm right now. Too much partying, I guess.
Last Wed. night, we picked up our friend, Sabrina, at the frontrunner station at Wood's Cross, and headed up to the Bountiful Temple, where she received her Endowment. It was a blessing for me to be her escort. I hadn't done that since my girls were married. It was a lovely experience for all of us. She would like to come up to the Logan Temple. Maybe some of you could meet us there and meet Sabrina. She would like that; so would we!
A few trees here in downtown Salt Lake are beginning to turn. We need to take a ride up in the mountains before the colors are all gone. It will help ease my homesickness for fall in Idaho. I hope you are all enjoying your fall.
We are looking forward to your visit, Klinglers! Karley, ready or not, here comes the MTC!
Ted Schroeder comes home from Afghanistan this coming Sunday and are planning a visit to Utah and Idaho, so everyone - be prepared for a visit!
Love to all - Mom/Grandma
P.S. Happy Birthday yesterday Shawnie boy! and you too Kalvin.
