Hi Kids,
I think I've finally got this reunion nailed down! We're hoping that Shawn and Torrey can be there for at least part of our reunion (if not all), and since Mat has to fly back Sunday night, I think we'll go to Lagoon on Friday, the 7th of June. Our house (the Gathering Place) is in Riverton and we can check in at 4:00 p.m. I was hoping to do a session at the Salt Lake Temple, but it will be more convenient to go to either the Draper Temple or the Okquir (sp?) Mountain Temple which is closer to our house. Hopefully, we can do that Sat. morning. We (especially Shane) wanted to go to a play, probably at the Hale Center Theater. The Matinee is cheaper and, if I remember right, starts at 12:30. We can also go to the evening one if you would rather. Let me know your preference. On Sunday morning, I thought we could go to "Music and the Spoken Word" at Temple Square, find a building close by to attend Sacrament meeting, do a little touring on Temple Square and then depart for home that afternoon. We have to be out of the Gathering Place by 11:00 anyway, so there's no sense in traveling backwards. I do want to give everyone plenty of time to visit and relax. This house sleeps 24, so I think there will be plenty of room. It provides linens, towels, etc., so you only have to bring your personal things. We can only have 4 vehicles, so we will have to carpool (especially those who live closer to us), but that will be fun too and will give us more time to visit. We are SO excited for this and hope it will become a tradition. Travis and Katie are in charge of the BIG reunion the next year. I promise we will all be happy with whatever you come up with!
We got a report from the Jeff Palmer's on their trip to Calif. It sounds like they had a blast! I had a good visit with Mat, Travis and Shawn the past few days. It was so good to talk to all of you; I'm so very proud of you and your families. I'm proud of all my children and grandchildren. You are all such good people.
Love you lots - Mom
