He made it!
Just wanted to let everyone know, Tanner made it to Johannesburg! He emailed a short note just to let us know he made it safely. He said it was a long flight and the layovers in SL and London were very long. He says South Africa is sooooo beautiful from what he has seen so far. He sounds very happy and excited. I will try to keep you all updated. Amy

Good Morning Everyone!
Just wanted to give a little report on our trip out to Amy and Michael's. We left Jen and Troy's about 10:30 a.m. on Sat. and Wahla! - 6 hours later we were in Spring Creek. The kids were good little travelers. (it helped that Grandpa made sandwiches and brought pop, goldfish, licorace, etc.). Michael's Mom and brother Tim and family beat us there, so we all visited awhile and then that evening we went over to their church and had pizza and played some wild volleyball. Then we had ice cream and visiting. Jana and Daniel met us at the church and Abbie and her "friend" Will got to Amy's even later. Amy has some wonderful friends and neighbors who housed us all. The folks where we stayed were out of town and just turned their house over to us. It was like staying at a five-star hotel! Their church was'nt until 12:30, so we had plenty of time to get ready and relax. Tanner (Elder Pedersen) gave a wonderful talk on the plan of Salvation and a very sweet and sincere testimony. He will make a fine Elder. He leaves from Elko on Tues. Feb. 19th at 6:00 a.m. We came back to the Pedersen's and had soup, salads, rolls, cookies, etc. We arrived at Jen's and Troys about 11:30 last night, tired, but very glad we went. Thanks to the Pedersens for being such wonderful hosts!
Jeff and Kimi, we'd love to hear of your adventures the last two weeks.
It sounds like we may be going to Lagoon as part of our reunion. For you "older" folks, who may have a little trouble with motion sickness, we suggest Dramamine or Scapalomine. Does anyone have a preference for going on Friday or Monday? Kimi suggested that it may not be as crowded on a Monday. Let me know.
Love ya - Mom

family reunion pics
Can I just tell you all how excited I am that the blog is being used. I know this whole technology online stuff can be very very scary, but you all are showing this blog who is boss. :) Remember you can call me whenever if you need help.
So I have been trying to figure out a way to get all these family reunion pictures to you guys because there are to many to email! What I did was made a picasa album that you can view. The only problem is that it won't let you download/save all the pictures at once, so you have to do it one at a time. That can be annoying, so you will probably just have to scroll through the pictures, and decide which ones you want to save to your computer. To save them, right click on the picture and hit "save as" then you save where you want to store it on your computer. Remember you can always call me if you get confused :)

Good luck this weekend to Tanner! We are so sorry we can't be there. You are going to be the best missionary.
I updated our family blog a little bit ago. Here is the link:

Not to much exciting news over here. There is a very very good chance we will be at the adult reunion. Which I am so so so excited about!!
Shawn was called as the new executive secretary for our ward. It was a pretty big surprise to us because they had just called a new EQ president and so we figured the stake was meeting with us about him being a counselor. I was very relieved he wasn't the new EQ president because he already pulls many "almost" all nighters for school, and just has no time. I guess I should have waited on those feelings of relief. :) In his setting apart, he was blessed that this calling will help his schooling. We are putting forth our faith that he can make it through.
We love you all. Looking through all those family reunion pictures made me miss everyone alot!

If Jen can do this...
Hidy ho family,
When I saw that Jennifer had posted something it inspired me, (?) shamed me(?). Probably a little of both. Whatever, it got me to finally do something. Gettin' antsy for our reunion, not sure I'm gonna make it til June. Sick, sick, sick of our non-winter winter.
Brendan ordained Preston a deacon on Sunday. It was really neat. I thought Bren would be super nervous and Travis would have to be whispering what to say in his ear, but he sounded and acted like he'd done it 100 times. Preston was so excited to be in YM and to receive the priesthood he was beside himself. It was a good day. Bren meets with the bishop Wed. to start mission papers, yikes!
If you wanna come see me,..umm.... hurry and come. : ) Actually, even if you don't wanna come see me, hurry and come anyway. It's all about me.
You love me!

Hi Family,
I think I've talked to everyone but Jen and Jeff, but I figured they will be ok with whatever the rest of you decide. (If I'm wrong on that Jen and Jeff, just let me know!) The vote is half and half, so I may have to make the call. I've studied it out and still think the best option will be Thurs. evening, Friday and Sat. - June 6, 7, and 8th.
I would love to go out for dinner Thurs. night and then to the Tabernacle Choir Rehearsal at 8:00 p.m.
I would like to do either an endowment session or a sealing session in the Salt Lake Temple Friday morning. We could then go to lunch either at the eating place on top of the Joseph Smith Building or the Lion House or the food court at the new City Creek Center. Then we could either do a tour of the new Church History Library or the Conference Center. Our former Bishop told me that when he had his family down there that the volunteers working at the information desk in the north visitor's center even found them a room where they could just meet and visit. I certainly don't want to over schedule, but I don't want you to be bored either! OR if you would rather go to Lagoon on Friday, that's great too. PLEASE let me know which you would prefer. I do have the money for our hotel AND for Lagoon if you would like to do that. If you have any other suggestions, let me know ASAP.
I have an idea for Sat., but let's get Friday planned first.
Let me hear from all of you!
Love you - Mom

VEHICLE stories: I only received grandma's vehicle stories and didn't see any others. Could someone email all of them to me please? Thanks [lar08023@byui.edu].
Katie, Mandy, and anyone else who tried to comment on our blog and couldn't, I think we've fixed the problem! Grandma, the pictures are jpeg so they should be working. I think the problem has to be fixed from your computer.
